Hi, I’m Lucy and I’m a wedding and events pianist, and this is quite simply the best job in the world!
Playing the piano has always been more than just performing to me. I love how music can bring atmosphere and emotion to every moment. Working closely together with you, I will create a bespoke playlist that reflects your story and helps to make your day truly memorable.
Musical Background
I started playing the piano at the age of eight, and it has been at the heart of my life ever since. I went on to study Music at the University of Hull, graduating with a First Class Honours in performance and receiving the Ann Airton Pianist Of The Year award.
Following university, I built a rewarding career teaching music in both primary and secondary schools. Throughout my teaching career, I have seen first-hand the power of music to inspire confidence, bring people together and make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
Alongside teaching, I have had the privilege of performing at weddings
and events for 30 years. Now, I’m excited to devote my time to what I love most - creating beautiful live music for weddings and special occasions and helping each couple find the perfect soundtrack for their day.
Musical Style
My musical style allows me to adapt to every part of your wedding day. I love reimagining modern favourites and timeless classics as elegant piano arrangements, creating a beautiful atmosphere for your ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast.
Equally, I enjoy playing feel-good songs that bring people together, life the atmosphere and add a joyful touch to your celebration.
My Baby Grand
To add a touch of elegance and sophistication to your occasion, I perform on my beautiful Dutch baby grand piano, creating the look and atmosphere of a traditional grand piano with the flexibility needed for weddings and events.
Its classic polished white finish makes a stunning focal point and complements venues of every style, from historic manor houses, rustic barns and more contemporary spaces.
All of my equipment is fully PAT tested, and I hold full public liability insurance for complete peace of mind.
Alternatively, if your venue has a well-maintained, tuned piano, I will be delighted to perform on that instead.
